Is it? Unfortunately, 8000 people die every day in the US. It is NOT "needless deaths". 94% had an average of 2.6 major health issues already and the vast majority have exceeded the average life expectancy age. The unintended consequences of these lockdowns is proving to be brutal. Alcoholism, overdoses and suicides are all up dramatically. The poverty is already crushing some countries and I am afraid the US will feel the effects in 2021. Some people are already getting economically slammed as we are seeing many small businesses being devastated. As a father of four and grandfather of four I can assure you that I do not support "needless death". It seems fairly obvious that deaths from other causes are being reported as Covid as, again, we are significantly below the death average of all causes for the last ten years.
If we had a million ADDITIONAL deaths in 2020 due to Covid, meaning 4 million people would die this year, I think most people would support the lockdowns. That is simply not the case.
Somehow we need to get back to a place where we can have civil discussion with people we disagree with in an effort to rationally solve issues. We are being intentionally divided. That is the only way the 1% can rule the 99%.
I sincerely wish you the best. Stay safe in these crazy days.
