No I did not. I said that LGBT, BLM and Antifa are groups of people, but not individual humans. Members of those groups are individual humans. Stop lying.

Your claim: "stop calling far-left groups 'left-leaning.'"

Ight man. Let's break this down:

1. LGBTQ -- Not a political group at all, but rather shorthand for those whose sexualities and gender deviate from the norm of straight and cis. There are gay Republicans, gay Libertarians, and gay Independents. I know a few of them myself. They seek only human rights and recognition and they are right to do so in whatever party (or no party) they find themselves in. Human rights are not "far-left." They're just not. I sure as hell hope they're not.

Remember when Trump waved this flag on the campaign trail? As some of his defenders like to say: He was the first President to support gay marriage from Day 1 of his Presidency.

He's been retrograde on trans issues and hasn't pushed for other gay rights at all, but a gay marriage-supporting Republican president is still indicative of how far gay rights have come in a relatively short time.

Conclusion: LGBTQ is not "far-left." At all.

Your claim: "stop calling far-left groups 'left-leaning.'"

Ight man. Let's break this down:

2. BLM -- This is a group that fights, mainly, for the human and civil rights of blacks. Police brutality is high on the agenda but BLM also has some other priorities that are very mainstream ideas within the Democratic Party (see meme). While "LGBTQ" which I already discussed is not an organization at all, BLM *is* an organization, but it has an informal, highly decentralized structure.

There is no one leader of BLM. Do you know why that is, by the way?

Because the last time the black civil rights movement in America had a single leader -- Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. -- he was assassinated by a racist. BLM is mindful of the persistence of racist violence in America and wants to inoculate itself against that possibility.

As for the "riots" which have been continually and wrongfully associated with BLM:

The right-wing notion that BLM "organized" the riots that have occurred this year is a complete and total lie. Those riots were a spontaneous expression of rage at discrete events of police brutality. They. Were. Not. Organized. Not by BLM or anyone else: Even wilder right-wing claims finger George Soros as the culprit.

In terms of tactics, BLM does peaceful protests, online activism, and in-person negotiation with elected politicians and community leaders. They follow in the MLK tradition of peaceful protest.

Conclusion: BLM is left-leaning but is not "far-left." At all.

Your claim: "stop calling far-left groups 'left-leaning.'"

Ight man. Let's break this down:

3. Antifa -- The mission of this group is embedded right in its name. It opposes fascism, which believe it or not, still exists today in the form of jackbooted vigilantes like Kyle Rittenhouse and groups that are self-styled protectors of the realm (but in reality, protectors of Donald Trump personally) like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys.

Antifa is a response to the organization of right-wingers who arm themselves to the teeth and haven't denounced violence. Antifa is highly decentralized. There's no one leader and no one organization.

Antifa doesn't rule out violence and has been condemned by Democrats and Joe Biden because of it (quite unlike Donald Trump boosting the Proud Boys). However, antifa deploys other tactics such as online activism and doxxing, etc. Antifa is one of the main reasons we haven't seen more events like Charlottesville, because many of the white nationalist participants were exposed to their landlords and employers and suffered real-world consequences.

Was Donald Trump on the case? No, lol. He called them "very fine people." And the federal government has been awfully slow to recognize white supremacist groups as terrorist groups overall. So, citizens organized and took it upon themselves to repel these white nationalists. It's a democracy's immune system kicking in.

Are there communists and far-lefties and anarchists in antifa's ranks too? Yes, no doubt. But they're disconnected from any political group that holds actual power, unlike white supremacists' pipeline straight to the top of the federal government, not to mention white supremacists' sympathizers in police departments and such.

Here's an expose on the Oath Keepers for you to chew on.

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2020/11/right-wing-militias-civil-war/616473/

Why do antifa folks mask up? Well: because they're smart. They don't want to be doxxed, harassed, and possibly assassinated by their counterparts on the right.

Like BLM, the notion Antifa is bankrolled by Soros would be worth another laugh if it weren't just another regurgitation of age-old anti-Semitic tropes straight out of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Conclusion: Okay, you get this one. We can consider antifa to be "far-left." But you're missing the point of a far-left group organized in opposition to far-right groups that deploy violence and deploy violence much more often.

What you said about these left-leaning groups was, at best, awkward and reckless and definitely open to the interpretation others applied.

You were awfully slow with this “clarification.”

You still haven’t apologized, only now are trying to gaslight those who took you at your word.

The Trump playbook of cleaning up terrifying statements doesn’t work with us.

Astonishingly accurate summary of what the hell transpired here

I will echo Cattigan that it really gets me how he can go around denying that entire classes of people are people yet we can’t say his name in a meme for fear of censorship

We all know who it is, he launches himself right into these controversies and relishes the attention

What’s really the point of the fig leaf of a censor bar
