If we really and truly end discrimination and rejection and bullying and abuse of trans people, and they still have a higher suicide rate, so be it. And in that event, treat them like anyone else who is suicidal (no better, no worse).

But until then, we have serious work to do.

It's on us to accept them the way we would anyone else.
