I would recommend Plini. His music is kind of proggy, kind of metal-y, and his first album was only released in 2016.

That’s the hardest working rhythm section in modern music.

I’ve never gone in for prog-metal, but this struck me as almost symphonic and very atmospheric. Good recommendation.

Are you sure?

I'm sure that I like some of the new music that's being made. When I say a song is good, all I mean is that it lines up with my taste in music. That's all anyone means. The purpose of my post wasn't to say that if you don't like any of today's music, you're somehow incorrect, but to give people pause for thought if they had been dismissive of newer artists, and possibly start them down a path of renewed enjoyment for the industry. But if it's not meant to be, then hey, nothing wrong with going back to the classics.

I didn’t mean it like that. I agree that good music is still being made but I’m just saying it’s weird how many not so good songs and albums have come out this year. Have a good day 🙂
