Anyone can join Songs of the Spirits as long as you fill in the signup 'sheet'. But before you go all crazy and submit your 300000000-year-old god of the universe and everything in it, you gotta read and follow the rules.
1). Your character cannot be part of The Message, nor can their lore be intertwined with The Message. There are rare exceptions, like if you incorporate it into your character's lore well enough. If you ask to become part of the Message, you will be less likely to get the role.
2). No powerplaying or using other people's ocs without permission. Powerplaying includes the following thread:
{Valiku snarled and lept for Charna, her eyes ablaze, claws outstretched. Charna tried to dodge, but it was no use. Valiku bit into the witch cat's neck and killed her.} As you can see, Valiku's roleplayer didn't allow Charna's roleplayer to even react, and also killed a character without permission. This following thread is better:
{Valiku snarled and lept for Charna, her eyes ablaze, claws outstretched.}
[Charna wasn't able to sidestep Valiku, and as a result, got clawed.]
{Valiku smirked with satisfaction.}
3). Don't force the plot along. If it's very important to your character, kindly ask to get back on track, or make a separate thread for the plot.
4). USE PROPER ROLEPLAY ETIQUETTE IN GENERAL. Please and thank you.
5). Please make sure your character fits into the time period, as well as the mechanics your character has. This roleplay takes place in the middle ages, though some places are very magic oriented and forest-based ((Like world of warcraft, basically))
