R.I.P. US Democracy 1788 - 2016

The constitution was implimented / created in 1788

Yeah , whatever you think that suits your perception of the world.
Basic fact is that a democracy can't be created until the laws , the vehicles and the devices (constitution) are put into place by law to enable a voting system and elections , so the start of democracy was created in 1788 with the creation of the constitution.

Surprised it happened basicallly overnight.

Democracy isn’t dead. The Democratic Party is dead thanks to their own suicidal policies, trends towards socialism and continued attempts to destroy the constitution.
