LOL. Well that was truly a Trump worthy attempt at distraction, but my response to the whole thing is, so what? PILTs reimburse states for federally owned land that they would otherwise receive property tax from, it has nothing to do with who maintains that land. The Feds maintain federal land, obviously. The US Park Service maintains their 7.5 million acres, the US Forest Service their 20 million or so acres and so on. Are you implying that CA does it for them? Got any proof? That $40 million sure wouldn't be payment to do it, the feds own about 47 million acres in CA, and 85 cents an acre a year wouldn't maintain jack. Meanwhile, CA generates over $400 billion in federal tax revenue annually. I'm sorry, just what was the point of your comments, at this point I have absolutely no frickin idea.

The federal Government contracts with state agencies for all kinds of service in California. OSHA, FDA are state contracted for the federal
Government. Guess what else. Doesn’t matter the point is if you don’t cut fire roads and maintain them this is what you get. Why isn’t Canada on fire?
