The guy on PCP? An illegal, mind-altering substance? Really?

He had a mental illness, was naked in the road, the cops kneeled on him for no reason

They did not shoot him.

While he may have had a mental illness, he was also on PCP. Granted, he posed little threat to them aside from spitting, and they could have perhaps handled him differently. Officers reportedly used a hyperglossive nerve technique, which seems insensitive and unnecessary in light of George Floyd. However, unlike Floyd, Prude was keeled on for two minutes, and immediately resuscitation was attempted when after two minutes he was unresponsive.

Police officers have a responsibility to establish care, custody and control. Though unfortunate and tragic, Prude's appears to be more the result of his actions than those of the police.

I did not say they shot him, and why did they kneel on him?

The meme refers to how to not get shot.

That said, I suspect that they knelt on him, as part of their training, to establish control.

but If someone is begging for them to stop, because he can barely breathe, it's no longer about control.

That detail is clear in Floyd. The police officers clearly ignored his reports of a breathing emergency. That's not clear in Prude.

Also, in police terms "control" may have a different definition than it does generally. Many terms in law have definitions that are unique to legal environments, while having other definitions in common usage.

Well was he a threat to them? Was he resisting? His brother called the police so they could help him, he was having a mental breakdown

He was on PCP, and behaving erraticly. I was not there. From the description of the event, it does not sound like he was a threat to the police officers. They may have still had a responsibility, per their training and /or department policy, to restrain him.

Idk, if it was in their training the department should be charged a lot and the police officers less

I think a big problem in all of these cases is a misunderstanding about what police can or cannot legally do. Many restraint techniques, even in mental health fields, look more violent than they are, though none of the facilities that I have worked at ever advocated then use of any technique that involves the neck. Of course, we never have drugged people pointing weapons at us, as police often do.

breonna Taylor didn't point weapons or resist arrest. Micheal Brown didn't either. How about police stop pulling over innocent people?

No, Breonna Taylor was an innocent and tragic victim. Micheal Brown did resist. Micheal Brown was a thug. People don't get shot for being pulled over. They get shot for what they afterwards.
