Mostly because it was not being monitored by mods and was getting out of hand with harassment and suicide memes. If there is improvement in the content per the new rules we will consider making it auto approved again.

For a while I wasn't even sure if there were any mods because it really was not modded. What I would do at this point on my own stream is set it to "Auto approve posts that appear to be safe for work." Apparently this stream is now mainly modded by community and global mods, so I respect your guys' choices because you are way more experienced.

Maybe Andrew was talking about community and global mods. I know they have to be over 21. For stream mods I usually look at maturity level, ability to stay cool when comments get heated, doesn't engage in harassment or toxic behavior even when they disagree with someone. A mod should display good judgment in determining if a submission fits the stream and abides by the site's TOS.

Because of the updates
3 posts a day, no auto approval and default sort is new.

Its 4 now. If enough people prefer the default hot I can change it. I need to be seeing less harassment in the submissions and comments if auto approved returns.
