I do when they earn my respect, like anyone else in life.

ok, but even the bad ones risk there life every day. I still have some level of respect for them.

The bad ones risk their own lives and the lives of other by virtue of being bad cops.

We need 100% of cops to be good, or the bad ones will undermine the ability of the good ones to protect us and keep us all safe.
