I am 13 and had to fight long and hard to get my friends on my side so that they would understand that not standing with blm is not racist. they also thought the statues needed down until I talked to them. I told them that taking down our statues of confederates would be tearing down our history and that tearing down our history and not learning from it would result in us repeating the wrong our ancestors have done. anyway they took my words to heart and now stand with me against racism but also against blm
