so I take it that you think masks work? look at the fibers compared to the size of a virus. the virus is like 50 times smaller than the fibers. also, I go to school and have to wear a screen. all of my friends who wear masks have severe headaches and nausea from the masks because they are breathing in their own CO2. the cdc said they're not helpful but u can still wear them 4 the comfort of others (which is what i'd do, despite the fact that i can't rlly breathe under most masks). however, the World Health Organization, who deals w/ pandemics, simply said there's no evidence that masks are even useful or helpful at all, unless they're medical masks (which i want 2 get). so there's studies out there that oppose what u just presumed & declared as "facts" & "science".
i don't rlly like conspiracy theories either, but it seems like everything done right now has some seriously undercover backwards political agenda. so it's hard 2 take ppl's word 4 stuff right now. somehow whether or not masks are safe has turned in2 a trump supporting war, (which it shouldn't be about b/c that's irrelevant), & therefore u'll get looked down upon 4 "supporting trump" if u say masks rn't helpful. & if there's anything most ppl should know about politics, there's lots of lying, bullying, threatening, manipulating, & scheming involved in it.
plus, there is proof that these ppl r doing stuff 4 financial benefit. there have been doctors that had someone who died of random things, (e.g. a car crash), & they put on his death certificate "cause of death: Coronavirus". so there is some wacky stuff going on.

well, i'm not catholic, but a lot of the things going on right now seem a hair away from what's described in revelation. Plus, it was said, "In the last days, knowledge will increase," and knowledge has definitely increased. Also a guy wrote a book, a detailed explanation of why evolution makes no sense, thinking it would radically change the world of science, & it wasn't successful b/c no one wanted to hear it as soon as they heard what it was about. Pastors at churches would ask him not to explain he was a creationist b4 giving his presentation so that ppl would even listen 2 his points. That is a very bad sign of the times.
The hostility toward Israel is another sign.
Also, if u read 2 Timothy 3:1-5, what it describes as the world "in the last days" pretty much describes everything going on right now in the world.
there are many other signs too, & sometimes i fear what this world is getting to. i hope more of us turn to God or a lot of us are not going to like things soon...

none of us support abortion. i always knew i hated it, b/c the concept of "killing babies" always sounded harsh to me. I knew it was started b/c of cruel racist reasons, but setting that huge problem aside, it's still unjustified murder. (plus, my mother took stuff to not have kids b4 i was born, which is probably why i don't have older siblings, & i rlly don't like that). Then a few yrs ago, i heard about what they do 4 abortions, which made me sick.
Then last yr i saw that movie Unplanned. Before my church group saw it, we were briefed by our leaders about the whole thing. How they change the terminology to make u more comfortable. They say "abort a fetus" instead of "kill a baby." Literally Wikipedia's first sentence on abortion is "[It']s the ending of a pregnancy by removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus." I forgot one thing they mentioned that they found, but it was the vaguest garbage u ever did hear. Often what they do is use long words (usually Latin ones) so that u can "ease" ur conciousness & live in denial about what's rlly happening.
But once i saw the movie, I (among others) had a vary of emotions. (One prsn ik seemed despondent & didn't even want to talk about it.) It made me sad that ppl r uneducated about this. It made me furious that ppl fought 2 get this practice around, knowing what it was. It's like they have no heart. They have the mother turn away so she won't see the baby, b/c they know she might change her mind if she does. What they showed was freaking despicable & murderous. ihni how ppl could even b that cruel.
Plus there was so much backlash to the movie's existence. The CEO of Twitter made everyone automatically unfollow the movie's Twitter page (including the actors, which is how i found out about that). Cyndi Lauper didn't want her song in it b/c she didn't want 2 support the movie at all. People started bringing up dark topics. It just tells u how much ppl r committed 2 immorality these days... It's like ppl feel if u don't support abortion u're robbing ppl of freedom, which is completely untrue, & couldn't u also say abortion robs the baby of the right 2 live?
We actually began peacefully protesting abortion after seeing the movie, & received lots of middle fingers, cursing, made up stories, & anger, along little support. It was the closest I've ever felt to just pure darkness.
I could prolly go on all day about this tho. I definitely think it should be outlawed, 2 answer ur question.

yeah, it makes me sick too. I have not seen the movie, but my mom when to see it and she came back home, laid down on her bed and wouldn't talk the rest of the night.

idk how many cases our county is but we live in a tourist-heavy zone & my dad works 4 companies that deal w/ tourists, so he's high risk, but he gets tested every day. but someone we know has it now & my dad's friend has recovered from it (he was over 50 & felt fine). i wonder what affects how bad the case is. it seems pretty dang random.

i so much just wish this dang thing didn't exist so no one had 2 get into arguments about it & none of these controversies related to it would happen...

the only time we get tourists up here is once a year during German fest so we and people come to get stuff from Fishers, but other than that no tourists for us. and even if we did we had a lot of tourists, my family wouldn't have to worry bc we just farm and raise cattle and my dad runs a small dozer operation business. so yeah, I guess we are super lucky.

and yeah, its super sad how much everybody has freaked out abt this, and I must admit, so did we. some guy I didn't know (my dad knew him) came to our house last week and gave me a very advanced shooting lesson.(I've always been able to shoot a gun and hit what im aiming for, but this guy taught me a lot more than I knew) his reason for giving me a lesson was bc "the world is a crazy place right now." He's right.

nahh ppl on the right arent the only ppl making it political. a few wks ago my mother was arguing w/ her father over this & he accused her of believing "republican sources" just b/c she's republican. just a few days ago my father was telling someone masks weren't helpful & he got offended & started bringing up trump. no one in our family knew any of this had anything to do w/ trump until then, but when i learned of that, a lot of hostility i'd seen & had 2 deal w/ was explained.

Tbf to your father, Trump's reluctance to push the effectiveness on masks led to a large swath of the population rejecting the effectiveness of masks and making the mask issue political. Though he supports masks now, the discourse on masks has definitely been made political as a result of Trump's inaction. The people on the left are simply responding to politically charged statements on the right about how masks are "government control" for example. This doesn't mean the left makes the mask issue political too, it's that they're responding to the right.

Yeah, Trump has suggested masks are helpful...good for him, albeit it was done EXTREMELY too late. And the only people making masks political is the people on the right. Other countries have worn masks without issue and have brought covid under control. Only in America are there swaths of people complaining about "government control" and pretending that masks don't work.
