I also made my own customised want. I spent an hour making it, putting wood stains(it paints it) making it smooth, adding details, all by hand, just for my haloween costue, but my Social Studies teacher that never read Harry Potter took it away because "You are going to end up stabbing someone with it"

The tip was as blunt as an eraser, and I was only showing it

BTW: I did end up getting my wand back at the end of class, and by getting it back, most of the kids who read Harry Potter asked me to make them a wand. My hands had blisters after making all of them.

Unless... its a little blue bubble guppies (not exactly sure why) lock on a closet door in a small school. Picking a lock is not illegal unless it used to break out of jail or do something malicious. I was simply gaining back the property that a muggle stole from me. I dont think the queen cares that I wanted my wand back and took it.
