Yeah, well yes and no. The ‘16 results were within the margin of error. FiveThirtyEight predicted Trump had a 33% likelihood of winning. An event that happens 33% of the time is not exactly unexpected.
And for the polls to be eight whole points wrong or whatever it would have to be this time for Biden to lose would be shocking.
