What are you talking about? He can do whatever he wants. And I can say whatever I want about it.

Why can't you take a knee? I can't speak for everyone but I'm fine with it. What I'm not fine with is them saying the country is founded on the 1619 project principles [which is a position you could take] and rowling up their base into a mad frenzy, with idiots like Noam Chompsky saying Trump is worse than Hitler. And then turn right around when you see its hurting you on television, in politics, sports, and entertainment, and say you firmly believe in the founding documents and god given rights therein its like MLK said that we just need to live up to that promise of America represented by the flag. That just needlessly fuels unrest and distrust of those who have different views. Does that make sense?

And it doesn't mean you can't acknowledge both and remember both, you absolutely should. But you need to pick one as the birth of America and wouldn't you rather the one where the shared values, rights, and freedom [even though they didn't extend to everyone for a long time] is as boundless as has ever been produced thus far by humans.
