24th worst**, how is being in the bottom 15% of the world “excellent”? But anyways, deaths per case isn’t relevant. The total case number in every country isnt very accurate because there were healthy people who had the virus and/or didn’t get tested. And in our case, our president refused the offer for tens of thousands of tests from the WHO, demanded the cdc make their own test(which it kept failing to do in the first couple of months) leaving us essentially blind. Realistically though, the death per case rate is believed to actually be somewhere around 1% globally. Now let’s do some basic algebra. If X cases have a death rate of 1%, how many cases produce 182,000+ deaths?
X(1%) = 182,000
X = 182,000/(.01)
X = 18.2 million total cases
But I’ll tell u what, let’s say they somehow f**ked up 82,000 times and only 100,000 deaths are real. That would be...
X(.01) = 100,000
X = 100,000/(.01)
X = 10 million total cases
We’ve only reported 5.9 million cases so far. In otherwords, the number you cling to as a success is based on a bullshit number purposely reduced and restricted by an inept president. anywhere between 4 and 12 million people got sick and either couldn’t get tested, or didn’t even realize they were sick and continued infecting others.
