It's not a mystery - those people they're supposed to protect keep getting shot by police officers, and the Republican platform seems to be "well, good. Do it more."

Do us both a favor please; look up the real statistics on who is shooting who and how often. There really aren't that many cops shooting people for no good reason (I know; one is too many)

Reality is being distorted by media bias. I would guess you pay attention to people who have an interest in making all cops look bad.

Well, as you say, one is too many.

And that's not really something I would write in parentheses - that's something I would highlight in bold with exclamation marks. Until we start seeing bad cops going to jail, this really isn't something that you can fudge over by saying "but not all cops!" Bad police don't have permission to murder people just because there are good police who wouldn't, and it really does keep coming back to that.
