What I find amusing is that the left says "follow the science" but when scientists do that, by way of free inquiry and skeptical thinking that the left interprets as going against local health officials, or democrat party agenda, those scientists get shut down, both by the media and social sites like youtube.

That's not science. Science is questioning the status quo. Science is free inquiry. The left will have none of that. What they're pushing is far closer to sorcery than science, but only because of the way they deal with those who question it. Questioning the status quo is the very basis of science. The left will not tolerate that if it goes against their political agenda.

If you were responding to me, I wasn't talking about climate change. I'm not a denier.

I was talking about the false claims by people like Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer, to "follow the science", when in fact, what they're demanding is the opposite of science, because they are claiming to have an answer to a problem that hasn't been solved yet. They just want you to follow what their political agenda dictates.

As far as climate change is concerned, it saddens me that it can't be dealt with outside the realm of politics.

But science is a debate, DT. A never ending debate in the search for truth. That's absolutely not what Pelosi and Schumer and Biden mean when they say follow the science. They mean the opposite. They mean follow what they say is science, and brother, that's not science.

It means that you pick and choose what you want to call science, which is absolutely the opposite of science.

I watched the premier of season three of Cosmos last night, and wondered how many triggered snowflakes like you might watch it, and feel absolutely ashamed of their blind loyalty to what Nervous Nancy and Cryin' Chuck claim to be science.

Blind loyalty to any scientific idea is the opposite of science, and anyone who truly believes that would tell you so.
