When you fail the math quiz for political reasons

Hey, anybody remember that part in the movie "Contact" where they said that math is the only universal language? You know, so universal that even alien-freaking-beings can understand it? So now there's apparently an American dialect of math and it's racist? Y'all professors can get out there sometimes but dang, this is a faaarrrr stretch and it's stupid. There, I said it. It's stupid. And y'all are stupid. Now you know how I really feel. *mic drop*

It's so stupid. I don't even have words that give it justice.

I think there is a paradigm shift happening at very deep levels of society.
Crazy stuff like this will come up as people seek new ways of looking at the world.
Try to take things w/ a bit of humor, it will get hectic, but ultimately I think things will balance out.

I hope so too. It really does go farther to our core beliefs.

I read about that. Some of these "explanations" made me ill... it takes one of the most basic concepts of math and badgers it for no stinking reason other than they're throwing a stupid tantrum over NOTHING!

Yeah, they've gone past absurd to just surreal. I keep wondering how much weirder can things get, it's like they're reading 1984 like "ok, now we're going to make this part happen..."
