And just to be clear, a very large percentage of mail-in ballots are tossed out, due to being filled out incorrectly, etc.
And to date at least, most absentee / mail-in ballots are not even counted. If the quantity is less than the margin of victory from in person voting, what's the point? Although if we have hugely higher numbers of mail-in ballots for the upcoming election than for past elections, they will (hopefully) all be counted.
So, just who makes the decision to toss out a mail-in ballot, and are the reasons documented, and the ballot kept? Are these ever audited? Who does, or would do such an audit?
It's beyond obvious that mail-in ballots present an incredible opportunity for cheating. Which, probably means that at least for 2020, we're going back to old-style politics, where the side that is best at cheating, wins.
