Judas is the main character of this story, and is intentionally seen as a kind of victim instead of the stereotypical villain. Doesn't that speak to the struggle of black people in western culture?
"Listen, Jesus, do you care for your race?
Don't you see we must keep in our place?
We are occupied; have you forgotten how put down we are?"
