Uh not really fantasywolf, my great great grandfather deserted the Confederate Army after he was drafted (conscripted) and joined the Union Army and lost a leg ( and his livelihood and farm) when he fought to end slavery. In his memoirs he said he would have gladly given his life to end slavery, like the thousands he fought beside. Republican. Lincoln. Ended slavery that the Demoncrats loved and fought for. (hey ask the founders of the NYT- they owned slaves)

The exception doesn't speak for the rest. And you guys keep forgetting the switch during the Civil Rights act.

Look who bought the myth. There never was a "switch", the Democrats keep saying that, but it never happened. A lower percentage of democrats supported your sacred legislation than Republicans, without Republican support those precious Acts would not have passed. The KKK is the military wing of the democrat Party. So who is living in a fantasy world?
