I have watched it, and I didn't actually suggest any stories which you said were for damage control, I think you volunteered that but that's ok. I personally think Trump's tone was a little defensive, maybe the press was implying that since he and Epstein were known acquaintances that he would be on Maxwell's list of men to name.
My interpretation of Trump's tone: "OK sir, I know what you're getting at and if that's your angle I'm not going to give you time of day. I will however wish her well in implicating as many criminals as possible."
I have an especially bitter disdain for sexual predators and have followed the Epstein case closely, but I also don't claim to be an expert on it. Honestly and transparently, I don't care for the fact that the President has been involved in shady circumstances with people like Epstein and it's one of the reasons I really don't care for the guy. But again being honest, I see stuff like your post where it is (without certainty or credible proof, out of context) painting him as someone who supports child molesters and rapists/sex traffickers, which is a stretch. That's no better than people on the right saying without base that Obama was not born in the US (something that Trump himself pushed) and wasn't qualified to be President as such. If you want to paint Trump in a bad light, pick something he has already proven himself guilty of. Or better yet, just let him talk and he will paint himself into a bad light. He's really good at that.
If he is named during Maxwell's future days in court and they tie him to the case with legal proof, I hope they cut him down. Until then, he's the President and things like this are only causing division in our country which is already broken enough. I'd rather see unity. Matter of fact I'd shake your hand for toning down a bit and presenting something other than "Lol...bobblehead...etc." and acknowledging that you read this response and actually care about my opinion, how is that for unity? I'll even upvote your comment :)
