Well think about what they people in 1918 must've felt like. There was still ww1 going on which had already killed millions and laid waste to Europe. I mean that was a terrible war, the worst up to that point. Then while it's still going Spanish Flu comes and kills millions. Spanish Flu was wayyyyyy worse than corona. It just was not a good time.
