Please make up your minds. Either we're in a cult and do everything he says, and believe only what he tells us to believe, OR we aren't convinced unless he says something we already believe.

It can't be both, you effing ignorant snowflakes!

Of course, the correct answer is C. Trump supporters are intelligent individuals you happen to disagree with since you hate all things Trump, because that's what the lying media at the Washington Compost, the New York Slimes, MSLSD, etc., tell you to believe.

Here's exhibit # 2,397, which I submit as evidence. Not that I expect snowflakes with blinders on to actually look at it, nor be able to comprehend it.

A false dichotomy between two straw men subsequently shaken by an ad hominem - nice work.

Cults form around charismatic personalities in which the followers see themselves, but are held together by the structure of their beliefs - belief being the totality of rationalizations accepted as fact not through experience or observation of evidence, but rather trust in the one doing the telling.

That's why it doesn't matter whether Trump comes out now and says tariffs don't work, hydroxychloroquine isn't an effective treatment against COVID-19, or that masks works - because to the true believers the Truth (ironic proper noun) has been established in their minds.

As with most cults, those who do have a rational frame of context through which to examine his claims will make their own rationalizations to justify his claims because to not do so would invite the wrath of the true believers - but that purity test has and will continue to cause the intelligent among your number to flee the revival tent lest they be sacrificed to his orangeness.

"A false dichotomy between two straw men subsequently shaken by an ad hominem - nice work."

I would say thanks, because what you've described sounds pretty impressive, but of course it's 100% inaccurate.

Why are you blathering on about cults? If you're trying to convince me I'm in one, because I support Trump, then you're not as bright as your writing style would suggest.

I stand by what I said, because the bottom line is your side just makes it up as they go, in order to justify their blind TDS. If you didn't have the media telling you what you think, you might just be able to identify the signal in all the noise. When the media says he said something, check it out. I'm not saying you'll turn into a Trump supporter, but you may find it eye opening to realize that the media lies about him consistently, parses what he says to make him sound as bad as possible, and in the case of a cable 'news' network like CNN, runs hit piece after hit piece on him.

Not that you asked, but I consider a 'story' about him to be a hit piece when someone who clearly hates him, verbalizes that hatred as it pertains to a specific issue, and then no opinion to the contrary is presented. That's not journalism, that's a hit piece.

Fat_Elvis: "Why are you blathering on about cults?"
Also Fat_Elvis: "Either we're in a cult and do everything he say..."

Why indeed.

Good grief, do I have to dumb everything down for all the lefties today?

Simply defining what a cult is, means nothing in the context of what we're discussing. That's all you did. You didn't make any logical, or even attempt and come up with an illogical, connection between me, what I said, nor Trump supporters in general and cults.

Don't pretend you're making your arguments sound dumb on my account - we both know I never defined what a cult is.

If this isn't a definition, it's so damn close that there's not a scrunt's hair of daylight between it and a definition.

"Cults form around charismatic personalities in which the followers see themselves, but are held together by the structure of their beliefs - belief being the totality of rationalizations accepted as fact not through experience or observation of evidence, but rather trust in the one doing the telling."

Always nice to see a thoughtful explanation of a complex interaction utterly wasted - might as well be explaining germ theory to my dog.

You're pathetic. For you to believe that you posted anything close to "a thoughtful explanation of a complex interaction" is nothing short of hilarious. Keep on believing that crap. You're the only one.

And there it is. A prime example of the intellect it takes for you to post "a thoughtful explanation of a complex interaction"

It's a vicious cycle of stupid. Drump repeats the most liked comments on right wing media where science is witch craft.
