Hi anonymous. Sorry for the delay in answering your question.

Sexual desires are a good thing and in fact if you did not have them at all that would be rather concerning. It's what you do with those desires that should be your concern and so it's good you're asking these type of questions.

The Catholic understanding of sexuality is that it comes from a desire to love and be loved. God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply and I think he made sex a pleasurable experience so that we would want to procreate. It has a 2fold purpose which is to unite the husband and wife and strengthen the marriage bond "the two shall become one flesh" the other purpose is to bring about life. You really cannot separate the two purposes or try to eliminate them entirely as society has tried to do by saying sex is only for pleasure. You can see how that's worked out with human trafficking, pornography, rape, abortion, the attack on marriage.

So what can we do practically speaking when we have those desires? First thank God because you have a healthy body and natural desires!
Second, if you're single I would advise you to ask the Lord to help you keep your body and mind pure. I would advise against looking up porn or engaging in self stimulation, I've been there done that and while it may give you brief excitement and pleasure it does not last long and will only lead to a self destructive addiction.

There are many saints of purity who struggled but overcame the temptation to sin. I can give you a list if you or anyone else on this stream would like. Ask them to help you.

Third, it's good to occupy your mind and body in healthy activities, find a hobby you enjoy, do crafts or sports, go for a walk and enjoy the beauty of creation, our other exercise. The devil can easily tempt those who are idle.

Fourth, guard your mind and heart by not watching inappropriate movies or reading books with alot of sexual content this will just make the temptations worse. Find content that challenges your mind, teaches you valuable information or makes you laugh. There's plenty of good entertainment.

this honestly helped me as well. I have temptations often and did wonder how to overcome them, I'm going to take this advice.

1. You limit your intake of pleasure foods. Don't get into the habit of always gratifying your urges.
2. Guard your eyes. For example. Paul Washer avoids getting into malls, why? In his words, not because he is super spiritual but "I know what I am".
3. Stop entertaining lustful thoughts in our mind. If you keep doing it, you will surely stumble.

When you're entertaining thoughts or tempted to sin, pray your way out of it, or better yet, call your friend you're accountable to.

It's impossible to end our sex drives, but we can reduce it.

Why would I even want to deal with magic spells in the first place?
