Okay this is epic, but somewhat unrealistic.
The Gadsden snake would almost certainly prefer an AR-15 platform rifle over an AK. The AR-15 is far more modular than the AK, so he could better adapt it to serpentine use. Furthermore, the AR-15 is of glorious American origin. According to legend, Eugene Stoner forged the first prototype from the core of a star. Attracted by the sheer amount of freedom, 1,776 space eagles arrived to escort him back to earth after communist aliens nearly destroyed his starship(which he had named 'Fortunate Son', this would later inspire the CCR song by the same name).
Conversely, the AK-47 was cobbled together by some soviet commie(too lazy to look up his name lmao) who basically just copied the StG 44.
Disclaimer: This is, of course, satire. Mikhail Kalashnikov, designer of the AK-47 did not 'basically just copy' the StG 44(the first assault rifle), although it did have a strong influence on the AK-47s design.
