Before the days of Robocalls, I would keep an air horn near the telephone. A soon as I knew that it was a telemarketer, I gave him a horn blast, then hung up.
SOMEHOW, HITTING THE "END CALL" BUTTON ON THE CELL PHONE JUST DOESN'T FEEL NEARLY AS GOOD AS THE OLD DAYS; WHEN YOU COULD SLAM THE PHONE DOWN ON SOMEBODY.
