Im on the fence about Climate Change, but Its funny as hell if this is a real quote. (doubt it)

Here's an example to bump you off the fence onto the side of the truth. Kyle Stadium in Texas holds abut 100,000 fans. Since CO2 is measured in parts per million it makes the math easy. Of those 100,000 fans, 79,000 are nitrogen (79% of atmospheric gases), 20,000 are oxygen, 9,340 are argon. At 400 ppm CO2, the earth destroying level, 40 are CO2, but 350 ppm is "perfect" for Climate Changers. That means that 5 fans are destroying the entire "atmosphere". Put another way, plants require a minimum of 300 ppm to survive, 350 ppm is barely above the minimum. 2,000 ppm is injected into greenhouses to increase production, OSHA lists 10,000 ppm as hazardous to health. We're told that the additional CO2 (50 ppm) is reflecting catastrophic heat back to earth, ignoring the law of equilibrium that the "additional" CO2 reflects just as much heat back to space. The key fatal flaw of the theory is they make no allowance for natural variation in temperature, so any variation "proves" imminent catastrophe. CO2 levels were around 4,500 ppm during the dinosaur age, we've been there before and life thrived. Now for this, the USSR introduced climate change as a way to kill capitalism, that's why every solution is more govt. control and increased taxes. The bigger the demon, the bigger the savior to "rescue" us. is necessary.

Yeah redwoods in Ohio kinda tipped me off. Got a feeling people are just gonna start leaving behind conventional cars and start using Electric stuff. Couldn't hurt.

Except electricity is notoriously inefficient. Whether it's produced with coal, nuke, hydro, wind or solar there are line losses (friction in wires that takes away electricity and produces heat) and at best it's 40% efficient. Averages can be as low as 20%. In the case of a house, gas furnaces and water heaters can be 96% efficient---- with the only emissions being water vapor and CO2. Both are natural and unharmful, but with people convinced CO2 is a killer, they oppose it and chose to heat with electricity. In DC the bus system runs on nat gas- truly emissions free and it burns so clean synthetic engine oil changes are only necessary once a year (if that- oil testing has shown oil can be run for up to 2 1/2 years per change).
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for clean energy, but blades on wind turbines only have a useful life of about 8-10 years then stresses take them out of service to fill landfills- not very recyclable and 150' long to boot. Solar panels have a 25 year lifespan, losing efficiency every year, and again, not much recyclable left. Coal plants can be routinely refitted for a 80-100 year life.
The ecological way isn't necessarily the best for the planet.
Also- coal we don't have complete records for, but oil and gas is very precise. We've used about 950 billion barrels equivalent. If you calculate the CO2 released by the "dirtiest" use we've put 8 ppm in the atmosphere. Climate scientist have told me in a debate that plants reject man made CO2 (acky acky poo poo) and at the very most would only have absorbed half. Doesn't add up to 50 ppm. I've roughly calculated CO2 for the dirtiest coal and added about 40% to the production numbers and it comes out to about 38%- again rejected by plants all around the world. Earthworms in the tropics produce about 4 times the CO2 of mankind, but it must taste better to plants coming out of an earthworm's tailpipe. Another fun one when I'v debated is the "stunning revelation of ancient forests being revealed as catastrophic glacier melting is destroying the planet. When I point out that the world was clearly warmer when the trees grew before the ice covered them I get threatened.
I have been part of panels for a number of years, they change their story with each fallacy that is pointed out (they used to say the sun has nothing to do with the temperature of the earth, Mercury and Pluto beg to differ). Then the attacks become personal and even life threatening. I don't want to die over a lie.
