When decisions about policy are made solely by the wealthy, often in gated communities, based on their fiscal ideology, they often ignore good research and rig the economy! The people that pay the price are often the least educated living in the poorest communities which turn into violent ghettos! Communities that are well informed, and don't rely on mainstream media, which ignores the best research, are the ones that are most effective at holding their leaders accountable and preventing authoritarian ineffective efforts to reduce violence that often backfire!
