God forbid I want to breathe oxygen rather than a mask full of carbon dioxide over and over again. Besides, if your mask works, why do you give a crap that mine doesn't?
Sadly, the people of my state are required to wear masks, because... reasons. Frankly, I believe
wearing a mask seven months into a pandemic when you're not even sick, is like wearing a condom at a baby shower when you're not even the father.
You never know if you're sick. And even if you aren't, why risk your own life by wearing a mask incorrectly. You'd never think it will happen to you until it does. Better safe than sorry, my friend! :\
I've been working this whole time during the pandemic without hazard pay, or even a bonus. Self preservation isn't something I'm worried about anymore..
It was frustrating in the UK too. Lots of old people wearing the surgical masks thinking it will protect them from germs which isn't what those masks were designed to do.
