(Mythological accounts about have an easier time arising when there are no eyewitnesses alive to the actions of that person.) Even the last one to be written (just on the edge of the "border" between the second and third generation) was written by an eyewitness (who was one of the original 12 disciples). Of the two that weren't written by one of the disciples (both of those two come too early to contain mythological content), one was written by a disciple of one of the original 12, making it a secondary source (The earliest and the latest are both primary sources, with the earliest being written as early as the first generation).
