Calling out people who hate our lifestyle

I appreciate your idea, but firstly, Christianity didn't "invent" homophobia - is has been around much longer. Secondly, it is not the only religion that keeps perpetuating the notion that "being gay is bad/a sin" - most big religions and many smaller ones also do that. And thirdly, not all followers of those religions follow this radical view.

I would also like it a lot more if we could all live in peace and finally get over believing in supernatural beings that tell us what to do. Anyone who brings up a god as an argument for their views has already lost in my eyes. But you just can't force your own belief onto others. That's what they're doing and it's bothering you, right? I understand the desire to retaliate but that really wouldn't help the situation - it would only lead to even more hate and violence. I just wish we could all accept that the laws we make today are more important for our daily life than the "laws" some people made up hundreds or thousands of years ago claiming to have gotten them from their imaginary friend. Guess what, the world has changed, the people have changed, so it's time to realize that accepting everyone as a full human being is the way to go forward.

You know, there was a time when someone wasn't entirely happy with the outdated rules of their religion and wanted to modernize them. Jesus. Why was it ok for him to decide it was time to change and accept the changing reality but 2000 years later we still argue about it? (He obviously wasn't the only one but the most famous/successful.)

You don't get it. Christians have forced their views on other people in the past, and as a result, the religion gained a humongous following. I know they didn't invent homophobia, but it was part of their beliefs, and as a result, people started being homophobic. I agree with that much.

Also, I know lots of religions find being gay bad/sinful, and I think we should ban those religions and make them face persecution so they can finally feel the pain of the LGBTQ+ community. I even think we should go as far as banning religion itself. I know it sucks for those that have actually been accepting and overall kind, but oh well.

But then we have those assholes that just hate gays for no reason. They're just terrible. All in all, f**k religion.

Like I said, I understand your point. I would also enjoy a world without religion. But I don't think banning it is going to help. It would just lead to people practicing their religion in secret and radicalizing even more. All I want is for the people who live in the same country to accept the same set of rules and if that includes the fact that discrimination is bad there shouldn't be any way to argue that "my religious freedom means I can discriminate if I want to", which currently still happens... And I completely agree: f**k those people. Although I don't think they deserve to have the pleasure of sexual intercourse... 🤔😅 But seriously, these people are only using their religion as an excuse and if you ban that they will look for a different excuse...

That's the thing. They will have no excuse, and they will have to accept LGBTQ+ lifestyle.

I understand your side, as I am an LGBTQ+ Christian(I'm Asexual), but from what I see, Pirate_Melon is NOT trying to say the LGBTQ community is bad. Not all Christians think the LGBTQ+ community is bad/should go to hell. Personally speaking here, only some Christian churches disapprove of the LGBTQ+ community, and some of them actually support the LGBTQ+ community. Saying that Christianity is a bad religion for being "Anti LGBTQ+" is like saying that every murderer is a good person and just wants the best for everyone. Not every Christian out here HATES the LGBTQ+ community so much that they would kill every last one of the members in the LGBTQ+ community just for being "different" than straight people. Christianity is not the only religion to not completely approve of the LGBTQ+ community, there are several big and small religions(I don't care to name them all) that do not approve entirely of the LGBTQ+ community.

But some religions (Abrahamic religions, Chinese folk religion, Epicureanism, Raëlians, Satanism, Unitarian Universalism, Vodou, Wicca, etc)

I understand you. I think we should just ban all religions, not just because of LGBTQ+, but because of various different beliefs conflicting with each other.

If I was persecuted because of my religion, I would know that I died for what I stand up for, I care because, in the Bible, I dont care if this isn't what you believe, you asked me for what I would say, so there were these places called sodom and gamora, and they did all these sexual sins, and other stuff, and God told them, and none of them listened to him, except for lot and his family, and God told them not to look back when he destroyed the cities, but lot's wife did and she basically got thanosed, because she turned to salt, and like I said MANY times before I don't hate them, I just don't agree with there beliefs, also, if you don't like my beliefs, you can stop talking about me, because I don't talk about this stuff at all except for this, so, if you don't like what I believe, you can just stop talking about it. :) God Bless
