Holy shit, EVERY government worker I know would give their left arm not to have to deal with any of this nonsense and just let us get on with our lives, but they can't because hundred of thousands of people are dying.
Government workers are already dependent on the government. Public health is far from the only determining factor in what we are seeing take place. The virus is going to spread either way, but the economy is being held hostage and there are clear winners and losers here. We shut down for months in NY and all we really did is delay the inevitable.
