Hell, I've seen levels of discrimination that even the KKK would call excessive.

I don't think a kkk member would have rejected a placement because the guy's from South Dakota and not North Dakota...
Or reject someone because they're Methodist rather than Baptist..
Or refuse to date someone because their name denotes Irish origins rather than Scottish..

And yet the equivalent in Indian, Muslim and Chinese communities is often par for the course, lol
Thankfully some if that is going away now but I've seen alot of it first hand and some will persist for at least another generation.

The information in the meme itself is 100% accurate.

However, the suggestion in the title that we should "move on" because of that is incorrect.

What it means is that we should fight racism all the harder: because it is everywhere on earth and a disturbingly easy mental habit to fall into. Same goes for other forms of bigotry (national origin, sexism, ageism, disability discrimination, etc.)

I agree, unfortunately there is no cure. It has always existed, it will always exist. If there was a pill that could cure it that would be awesome!!. But hyper focusing on it through rioting & looting only emboldens it. How do you beat a bully? you ignore him and he will go away forever
