I have no idea where people see charisma in Trump. His expressions, his posture, his body language - they betray discomfort and fear coupled with the phoniest of lame attempts at concealing them which only manage to backfire and highlight them.
Standing next to Putin makes it even more glaring, as the latter is a master at concealment, which while having an artificial air is done in a way that looks smug, icy, calculating, a twinkle that signals danger lurks behind his eyes.
So he manages to work his artificiality into an advantage over potential opponents, and of course, subserviant spineless sycophants like Trump.
