The reason I asked was because a lot of fans were pretty furious about Albus ending up in Slytherin and even ending up being best friends with Scorpius Malfoy, son of Draco Malfoy. I guess those fans blindly assumed Albus to become a Gryffindor, especially after what Harry had said to him before he left from platform 9 3/4
Of course, finding out Voldemort had a daughter from Bellatrix also got people angry, yet in canon it was possible. The baby had to be born shortly after Dumbledore's death, and Bellatrix was not present at Hogwarts the night Dumbledore died (in the movies she was, but I consider the book canon), and people did link this to Bellatrix being highly pregnant at the time and thus physically unable to join the fight.
Of course, I know that the book is nothing more but the play script for the actors who had to do this on stage. I've never owned the book, but read some passages, and it was a bit hard to read from this perspective. I wonder how things worked out if the cursed child was written as a fully worked out novel, and filmed like the other books. Writing for a play and writing for a novel are two different disciplines, and a play has many limitations. I know the story globally, but I need to read the book in full to judge. It would be even better if I could see the play itself.
