So, what you are suggesting is the drunk assailant with a taser (and fired it at police), who violently beat his wife and kids and was on probation, should have been let go? I think MADD, domestic violence groups, and law-abiding citizens might disagree. Here's an idea. Don't fight or assault police when drunk, try to escape, and shoot a taser at them. I know it's radical. But give it a try.
