Working on a teen graphic novel (possibly), and I was thinking of having a couple of mall scenes, but do youths go to malls???

Before covid yes, but depending on the mall. I think the mall scene as a hangout has declined over the years due to social media. My mall back home was crawling with kids all the time but they had a nice selection of stores that appeal to them, a movie theater, arcade, food court. Other malls with just a Boscovs or other expensive clothes that they wouldn't be caught dead in? Not so much, lol.

Covid did put a hamper on everything. But yeah, it does seem like malls don't often cater to youths of today. Heck, I still go (usually for walking and Five Below), and I don't know how people buy stuff from there!

In my area they still do, at least when I checked a couple of years ago. I personally do my best to avoid it like the plague.

Before the pandemic, I would go to the mall with my friends, and we'd walk around and check out our favorite stores, and mess around a little bit!
