I admit, I didn’t know it either.
I knew the significance of having a rally in Tulsa Oklahoma
Bet Trump didn’t.

Trump and his people are clueless idiots. I only knew of the Tulsa race riot, or massacre, after seeing Watchmen on HBO, and googled it.

American flag | Replace Flag Day They're making flags so fast we can't burn them all | image tagged in american flag | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Now that I'm looking Flag Day isn't federal, but Washington's birthday still is, and the man wore the teeth of slaves in his dentures.

Washington was a general that defeated the British army, helping to create our great country. Slaves were allowed then, not sure if he had them, but historically speaking, very few, if any. American Flags should be flown whenever, they are a symbol, no need for a federal holiday. Nobody's burning, or kneeling our flag out of hate, just trying to rationalize it, and make others see each other's reality.

I don't think celebrating any great general's birthday is worth it. Even he probably would be against it because he didn't want people to see him as another king. According to Mount Vernon "At the time of [his] death, the Mount Vernon estate’s enslaved population consisted of 317 people." So he was a typical wealthy Virginia planter. I agree Flag Day is unnecessary; the idea of the country has always been greater than the reality so there are many things to burn flags over.

Why not Celebrate the Emancipation Proclamation instead. That was 2 years earlier and read by President Lincoln?

That's a good idea, although it might not be celebrated because it was January 1 and because of the ongoing rebellion it technically didn't free anyone... I think. It's confusing.
