Watch the video, the guy was running away, twisting backwards to shoot the taser at the cop. So yeah, in the back. Would I have taken the shot? I don't know. Was it a justified shoot- I'd say a jury is going to say yes, then the cop retires off the millions he gets from the city. Before you judge, put yourself in the cops position- the guy has punched you, taken your weapon, is running away and turns to fire at you- you have two seconds to make the call.

Twice?

Cops are taught, as are civilians who take tactical training, to shoot until the suspect is down. Only shooting twice makes it a rarity among police shootings.
