It can be funny when people pretend to be nice... especially if they're bad at it. But I definitely don't like pretending and I think it's completely ok to just not like someone. So, for the sake of everyone's sanity I'd go with hate.

I want to know if someone hates me so I can leave them be and not let emotions build up. If it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be.
