No i don't; generally it's better to read the gospels first, particularly the book of John for three important reasons:
1. The New Testament gives you a better understanding of the Old Testament
2, Of the four Gospel (accounts), Gospel of John is the best gospel to learn about Jesus, as, not only you'll learn about the deity of Jesus Christ but also how He became man. The other gospels also shows the latter notion, but not as clearly as the Gospel of John.
3. The way of salvation is also most clearly shown in the Gospel of John than any of the four. That salvation comes by Faith Alone.
