“But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention.”

This goes well past the current riots but we can start there. Did you mean the myths pushed by race baiter's and fake civil rights activists like Sharpton? Or the myth of white privilege? Because there are plenty of programs available to minorities only. If upward mobility was an actual goal those programs would be available to low income people not select groups of them based on skin tone. The truth is most of the areas with intolerable conditions have been ruled by the same political party for generations. I said myth's because in most of America race relations are better than I have ever seen them. Any trip to town you will see mixed families, groups of friends, people wearing all sorts of cultural clothing and zero problems. The media and the hustlers pushing for political power need to stop the BS.

What the hell are you talking about? Your meme asserted that the current protests have taken the civil rights' movement out of Martin Luther King Jr's scope, and his own words say otherwise. What the hell does any of the rest of your babble have to do with anything?

If you equate the race hustlers currently pushing hatred onto American streets with the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr, you do not respect the man of anything that he stood for. He would condemn the lot of them.

Alright, let's read it again!

Nothing justifies violence. The people blame everyone but themselves for the problems they created. The same party has a death grip on their communities and they voted for them. Intolerable conditions are a lie. 320+ million people move safely around the US every single day.

Whatever - but you can't change Martin Luther King's positions on the matter.

I did not, you did. Your support for the violent race hustlers mocking his legacy is disgusting. You should be ashamed.

Alright, let's read it AGAIN!

So you are justifying today's violence by using a old speech to frame MLK as not a man of peace but of giving passive support to violence. If you really believed that you would be out busting up his statues.

OK, let's read it again AGAIN! Let's let the man speak for himself because you have trouble understanding that black men can express themselves:

“But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention.”

You are lying to both of us, by claiming they had no alternative you are passively supporting them and the violence. Passive support is still support. You do not have the moral high ground here. I meant what I said, you should be ashamed, you have zero respect for Martin Luther King's legacy. The thugs in the streets should be in prison, not held up as heroes. They are not a sign of what is wrong in American culture, they are its cause.

You know why you can't find any quotes of Martin Luther King saying "the thugs in the streets should be in prison"? Because he didn't say it.

You know what he DID say? Let's read it again again!

They ARE the things that cause them to feel like they have no alternative. His words, from the man himself. Your feelings don't alter his history.

He also said this when asked about violence "let me say as I’ve always said, and I will always continue to say, that riots are socially destructive and self-defeating. I’m still convinced that nonviolence is the most potent weapon available to oppressed people in their struggle for freedom and justice. I feel that violence will only create more social problems than they will solve. That in a real sense it is impracticable for the Negro to even think of mounting a violent revolution in the United States. So I will continue to condemn riots, and continue to say to my brothers and sisters that this is not the way."

Your sick attempt to tarnish his legacy has failed, your own racism can no longer be hidden. You disgust me.

You are literally quoting the previous paragraph. Literally, you are stopping right at the exact spot where he turned around and said that you and your attitude are part of the problem.

But you left it out because you want to use his movement for your own purpose. I'm ready to be judged. And I don't think you are.

Alveda King. She writes, “I am saddened yet undaunted that a quote from my Uncle Martin is being taken out of context.… Some people are calling this an endorsement of violence, but nothing could be further from the truth.”

She continues, “Martin Luther King preached love, not hate; peace, not violence; universal brotherhood, not racism.” This MLK isn’t easy to square with the figure now being portrayed by the media, but the Fourth Estate can’t be bothered with facts right now. It’s an election year. They have to stoke as much racial tension as possible.

So you are calling Alveda King a lair?

Let's do it again! Until you hear the humanity and compassion with which Dr Martin Luther King talked about people that you want to lock up and throw away the key.
