It gets old how progressives practice presentism repeatedly. They use this fallacy to justify their "cancel culture." It is sick on so many levels, but sadly they can't even see their own miscreancy. They only serve to prove that liberalism is indeed a mental illness.

BS, the 1980's were well after the Civil War, or even the Civil Rights Act. Even as kids in the 1970's we were well aware that the rebel flag was a direct insult to African-Americans, it just took way too long for ordinary folks to speak up.
