It happens a decent amount in math, like sometimes I'll do things differently from how it's taught and it's easier. Mostly it's just noticing mistakes though cause everyone makes those.
Sometimes in history too cause I'll know some small detail or something my teacher didn't know. But that's history, anyone could do that if they took 10 minutes to research some obscure thing.
