Usually I just listen to audiobooks instead of reading. Before school closed, I used to sit next to a girl who kept changing her mind whether she was a VSCO girl or an Egirl even though she acted a LOT more like a VSCO girl, and because I watched lotr and the hobbit right before school closed I only had about 5 days to give random confusing pieces of information so that she would have to watch it. Unfortunately, the other person next to me had just finished reading harry potter so there was no hope for him, but neither of them had any strong opinions on lotr/hobbit and one time I was sitting in the lunch hall with two other girls from my class and they didn't even know what lotr WAS! anyway, I just felt like I needed to share these stories with some other Tolkien fans since I don't know very many. Also, my friend who had watched the hobbit/lotr (long ago she even tried to convince me to watch it) STILL prefers harry potter. . . this comment way too long. . . and pointless . . . eh, too bad.

Oof. Sorry to hear about that. I'll be praying that God will bring other Tolkien nerds into your life. For now, however, feel free to nerd out with us to your heart's content!

I am a Tolkien Nerd/ Fan/ whatever its name is. And I don't like Tik Tok. Main reason: unhealthy non-Christian content is posted there and Harry Potter stuff is posted there too.

I, thank goodness, only know a handful of them and I don't talk to them unless I absolutely have to so I wouldn't know.

Ok. The reason I'm asking is because I know one, and she adamantly refuses to read even The Hobbit. On the other hand, every Tolkien nerd I've interacted with (including, I believe, said VSCO girl's sister) heavily dislike most of the things VSCO girls can't seem to live w/out.

Someone said that the average reader can read The Hobbit in 6.5 hrs. I read it for the first time in 3. I read the whole entire LOTR The Hobbit series for the first time in 23.5 hrs. now I can read them in less. :)

Yeah, haha, when I read the Hobbit in 6th grade it took me a total of 3 hours, haha.
