Trump pardon tweet | image tagged in trump pardon tweet | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Trump has a Trump card of course: his claimed ability to “pardon himself.”

Whether he tries that route and is willing to litigate pay the inevitable appeal fees that would result from such a brazen act, or else just resigns 5 minutes before his term is up and lets Pence do the pardoning for him (which would be 100% constitutional! No question!) remains to be seen.

We should also expect to see a lot of preliminary pardoning of close confidants like Giuliani, Mulvaney, Pompeo, as well as the Manaforts, Stones, etc. who have already been convicted, if the DOJ hasn’t already done Trump’s dirty work for him by then like they previously did with Flynn.
