What the DCEU has done is actually sad if you think about it. More people watch movies than those who read comics and with bad movies from the DCEU, people think DC is bad in general. The DCEu directors don't understand the characters. One of the reasons Marvel makes better movies is because the directors know what they're doing and make the characters true to there comic book counterparts(minus Thor, the Mandarin and the GOTA).

The DCEU doesn't make their characters likable. In the DCEU, Superman is a cold, stiff and emotionless guy. In the comics, he's awesome. Batman kills criminals and uses guns, the Flash is an idiot who's slightly faster than Superman, etc. One of the reasons Batman is popular is his moral code. When you make Batman pull out a gun and shoot people, then something isn't right.
