Why we seem to have lost our way.

A dystopian example of pure Religious Conservatism with the Christian Bible as law
In order for that fictional society to form it needed three ingredients
Disease, Ignorance and moral decay.

Yes indeed: A dystopian vision of America that sadly seems more plausible by the day.

There are societies around the world even today that treat women pretty much like this. And that *used* to treat them better even a few decades ago.

If we lose our commitment to women’s rights and freedom, we’ll end up like this.

The wall always struck me as a prime example of what happens when you blend Government and Religion.
Once, I was friends with a person who grew up in Iraq. He was missing his pinky finger above the knuckle on his left hand.
When I asked how it happened, he explained as a child he was always hungry. One day his hungry drove him to steal some dates. He was caught, the removal of his pinky was the punishment for a thief under the age of 12 yrs old. Had he been aged 12, the severing of his whole left hand

The brilliance of this Country and the Founders is the Separation of Church and State. Without it,a Dystopian future awaits.
My goal as an American, is to see that always continues.
